Artist pages
Following artists, and what each section of an artist page contains.
Tapping an artist anywhere in SimpMusic — a search result, a track's credit line, an album — opens their page.

Following
The Follow button sits in the artist header, next to their subscriber count. Once tapped it reads Followed, and the artist joins the Followed collection in your Library.
Following is local, not a YouTube subscription
Follow only records the artist on your device — it does not subscribe you to them on YouTube, and it does not appear on your YouTube account. It works whether or not you are signed in.
This mirrors how the heart works for songs: see Two kinds of "liked".
Following an artist is also what feeds the artist half of your notification feed — new releases from artists you follow show up there.
What's on the page
Sections appear in this order, and each one is skipped when the artist has nothing for it:
| Section | Contents |
|---|---|
| Popular | Their most-played tracks |
| Singles | Standalone releases |
| Albums | Full-length releases |
| Videos | Music videos and video content |
| Featured in | Playlists that include this artist |
| Related artists | Similar artists, with their subscriber counts |
| Description | The artist's own bio text |
Popular, Singles, Albums and Videos each have a More link that opens the full list rather than the handful shown on the page.

Playing from an artist page
- Tapping Popular plays that set as a queue named "<artist>" Popular.
- Tapping Videos does the same for their video content.
- Start radio builds an endless mix around the artist, queued as "<artist>" Radio — see Radio.
