Notifications

New releases from artists you follow, and posts from the developer blog.

SimpMusic keeps an in-app notification feed, reachable from the Home screen. It carries two different kinds of entry.

New releases from artists

When an artist you follow publishes something, SimpMusic records it with the artist's name, artwork, and what was released — split into singles and albums, so one entry can cover several new items at once. Tapping through takes you to the release.

Developer blog posts

Posts from the SimpMusic developer blog also land in the feed, each with a short description and a link out to the full article.

You can turn these off independently: Settings → About → Blog notification. It is on by default and is Android-only.

The two kinds are separate. Switching off blog notifications does not affect new-release entries from artists.

Empty feed

If nothing has arrived yet, the screen simply says there are no notifications. The feed fills in over time as artists you follow release music and as new blog posts are published.
